Eddie Thoneick I Wanna Freak U Tonik

The debut release on Eddie's own Tonik imprint is an absolute monster! Sampling the vocals from Jodeci's hit Eddie gives it his trademark funky electro house style and churns out an absolute anthem. Pick the Classic Mix for that feelgood throwback vibe or Kurd Maverick or DJ Delicious' remixes for a tougher jaunt. » AR

2 3
Danny Clark & Jay Benham f. SuSu Bobien Wonderous Strictly Rhythm

Strictly continue to churn out the burners! Wonderous is soulful, gospelly goodness at its finest. SuSu's vocals are on point as always and you have a tremendous selection of mixes to suit the most discerning tastes. Muthafunkaz kill it in their traditional style but for something unique and super cool check out ATFC's Lectrotek Vocal. » AR

3 4
Copyright f. Imaani Wizeman Defected

More deep and brooding sickness from Copyright. This time the lush vocals of Imaani drip like honey over the rich and grooving instrumental. Check out the Peaktime mixes for a little more aggressive workout... top notch deep house for sure. » AR

4 5
King Unique Hinode (Fergie Remix) Curfew

Wow. Not that KU needed any help making a track huge, but where the f**k did Fergie come from with this sound! For those of you that wanna piss on the brutal hard-house crap that used to churn out of this man, put aside the hate and get on board the tech-house Fergie train... like a DJ makeover. » SJ

5 6
Funkerman Speed Up Defected

BOOM! Another anthem from Defected. Partner in crime with Fedde le Grand, Funkerman is making his own name stand out as of late. This one is sexy, tempermental, and ready to rip your dancefloor, so hurry up and get on it! » AR

6 7
DJ Wady & Patrick M Hulk Cr2

This wibbly-wonky (almost switchy) tech-house number combines that synth-popping style that the world has grown to love of late with a twisty and prominent bassline perfect for hiding out underneath everything, willingly holding down the fort. Solid number. » SJ

7 13
Samim The Lick Get Physical

Now that he’s got your attention... it's clear Heater was just the beginning on what will be an assault on your low end techno loving ears... no point in getting into details... this tune bumps! Yes... bumps! » SJ

8 8
Maal Nobody’s Sayin Phonetic

Pretty hot track, nice vocal...but its Daley Padely’s afterhours mix that brings out its dark and sexy style. Like a woman who finally finds her style and flare, Padley brings a feel all his own to it, making it something to look out for, much like his career...on the rise. » SJ

9 9
Nicole Moudaber vs Mel & Kim Get Fresh (Mark Trophy Knees Up Remix) Nocturnal Groove

This one is a bumper, kind of throws you off at the start, almost makes you
think you are about to go on another switchy-electro ride; but no... it comes
correct! Sickness... proper bump, proper groove; simply proper remix. » SJ

10 16
Paolo Jackson f. Shena Funkt Sheer Dance

Every version of this track is all over your face, one night stand, glitchy tech house, no ifs ands or buts. If you love that style, buy this record! Opt for the Schossow Remix if you want the heaviest!!! » SJ

11 17
Goodwill & Tommy Trash Its a Swede Thing Cr2

Just one of those stand up and like it tunes! Possessing great dance floor sensibility and enough tech-to keep even the trendiest party people on the floor, this one is meant for the clubs. » SJ

12 23
Spoon, Harris & Obernik Baditude Toolroom

BOOM! Anthem alert! Dave Spoon teams up with Paul Harris and the vocal stylings of Sam Obernik for a monster of a tune in Baditude. Toolroom has been putting out a lot of biggies of late, but this one certainly is the biggest and baddest. Ibiza get ready for some 'tude baby! » AR

13 24
Lil Mo Ying Yang Reach Strictly Rhythm

What!!!! If you don’t know this track, stop djing... go buy it... smile, restart your career! A welcome addition to any record bag, whatever you play!!!! CLASSIC! » SJ

14 11
Lars Schneemann Name & Number (Kid Chris Mix) Bug Eyed

Although keeping to its tech-house beginnings, this track flirts hard with some trance sensibilities! The ebb and flow of this one however is a smooth melodic trip that is a well seasoned traveller looking for some people to share on the adventure. » SJ

15 19
Booka Shade Charlotte Get Physical

Well, when the Booka get busy they get deep. This one is no exception. Dark and brooding, with all of that low end goodness you have grown to love, and the techno elements that make you writhe, jump and shout. Add a man of the moment remix from Dubfire, and what ya get is a sick-ass techno release. » SJ

16 15
Indo Phunqe Beta Bug Aciitone Red

This full on textural-landscape of a track, flirts between dance-floor friendly and techno head, and in the end ultimately doesn’t truly decide which one it is; for the heads or the feetz? Worth the listen, so you might as well decide for yourself. » SJ

17 18
Marco Bailey & Tom Hades Exorcism MB Electronics

This is just one of those tracks... those, ‘I could have done that’, ‘that melody is so easy’ kind of tracks... but you didn’t... they did... and it rocks... I smell festivals all over the world cuing this one up! » SJ

18 21
Paco Buggin & Joy Marquez Is Stereo Stereo

Consider it a new take on the massive ‘ In Stereo’ track of the same label some time ago, this new take, ‘Is Stereo’ is a proper rendition crafted by the upstart Paco Buggin, whose name seems to be ringing off just about everything these days. » SJ

19 22
Muzikjunki Music Digi

This little bad boy, hidden in the middle of the EP, holds the essence of the junk in the trunk, funky style of Muzikjunki. The ebb and flow of this track has a ‘Rene-Amesz’ quality stamped all over it. » SJ

20 25
Veros & Vench Roll It (The Bulgarian Mix) PBR

Glitched out tech-funk from those fine lads at PBR. For fans of the sound some say Micky Slim pioneered this is for you. Dirt, grime and nastiness for your dancefloor. » AR

21 27
King Unique Sugarhigh Curfew

Could be the greatest King Unique production ever, or simply one of the most poignant pieces of what would become tech-house which emerged in the early part of the 2000/2001. Whatever way you slice it...it is back, remastered, and ready to do the damage that your ‘bunged’ up vinyl pressing never got to do! » SJ

JCA p. Solaphonics Total Love (Raul Rincon Rootz Remix) Milk and Sugar

26 38
Hatiras & Flipside Tribute Hatrax

The king of Canadian electro-ass kicking, Hatiras, pumps a nice synth-churning ditty sure to turn your noggin up in tribute to the old school jams, throw in the oh-so-modern, yet Chicago style vocals of one MC Flipside, and what you have is an infectious groove. » SJ

27 32
Steve Mac & Paul Harris You (Tom Novy Remix) Toolroom Trax

Steve Mac & Paul Harris certainly no stangers to these charts... they have that knack for producing quality house music and their latest on Toolroom is no exception. Throw is a killer remix with sweet keys and a little funk from Tom Novy and you have a burner for the dancefloor. » AR

Josh Wink is back... arguably his best tune since Higher State, this moody, brooding monster combines some funk samples with building percussion and lovely rhodes stabs. Deep and delicious fare from Mr. Wink. » AR

29 39
Bit Crushers Time to Werk (Padley & Special Mix) Little Mountain

Although littered with a plethora of solid remixes, this EP’s gem is the Padley & Special cut, which although seems quite timid, puts a bass hurtin’ on the floor that few can resist and most will not forget. » SJ

30 41
Salome de Bahia Outro Lugar Stealth

Holy sick EP Batman! This release has a flavour for every moment in your tech-house journey. Sick, nasty, rolling electro... what have you! Our personal pick goes to Ed Kane’s & Dirt Bag cut... pure grit!!! » SJ

32 42
RC Groove f. K Ladawn Too Much 4 Me Peppermint Jam

Not much more can be said about Jeff Bennett that this track doesn't already explain. He's sick, he's nasty, and he's got oddles of techno goodness living inside his system! » SJ

34 43
Against the Grain Sim City (The Remixes) Unreleased

Call it tribal, call it tech-house, call it whatever, but so long as you call it nasty, dark and full of bad-ass-ness...you would be right! » SJ

35 44
Tortured Soul Your Dream Is My Dream (Jon Cutler Mixes) Coco Soul

Coco Soul is quickly becoming one of my favorite destinations for rich, deep, soulful house music. This time Jon Cutler flexes his remix muscle with a beautiful take on Tortured Soul's latest. Amazing vocals, smooth keys, and groovy bass... everything a proper house track needs. » AR

43 --
Pornstar Bad Girls Need to Love Influential House

This is one bad mutha... big room vocal loop, big room synths, big room drums... the trancey-influenced synths underlying the tune may just take sway you to hate, or to love it... your tastes be warned! But the more main-streamed underground dance dj’s (they do exist) will be caning this! » SJ

44 49

The Shapeshifters are London DJ and production duo Simon Marlin and Max Reich, also behind long running club night Nocturnal at AKA, London, the party hang of Nocturnal Groove – the boys’ and Lola Marlin’s record label. Party people at heart, the pair met when Simon signed Max to the Down Boy record label that he was working for.
