Splittr All Alone (Michael Gray Remix) Electron

ANTHEM ALERT! Splittr's brilliant All Alone is amazing on it's own, but throw in a four to the floor stomping mix from Michael Gray and you have a prime time banger. Tough beats solid vocal stabs and slick usage of the chord progression to create massive tension all work to get those hands in the air. » AR

2 5
Rune RK Day in the Dark EP Underwater

Just when I was thinking, haven't seen anything devastating from Underwater in a bit, they release this...a truly wonderful and simply ‘complete’ 3 song ep from Rune RK. WOW. Great pack, DJ delight for certain! » SJ

3 11
Eddie Thoneick I Wanna Freak U Tonik

The debut release on Eddie's own Tonik imprint is an absolute monster! Sampling the vocals from Jodeci's hit Eddie gives it his trademark funky electro house style and churns out an absolute anthem. Pick the Classic Mix for that feelgood throwback vibe or Kurd Maverick or DJ Delicious' remixes for a tougher jaunt. » AR

4 6
James Harcourt Bitch Tits (Rezone Mix) Bug Eyed

Just in time to make you sweat, Harcourt shows up big with a grimey tech-house number sure to add some dirt to your evening... follow the bouncing synth! » SJ

5 8
Danny Clark & Jay Benham f. SuSu Bobien Wonderous Strictly Rhythm

Strictly continue to churn out the burners! Wonderous is soulful, gospelly goodness at its finest. SuSu's vocals are on point as always and you have a tremendous selection of mixes to suit the most discerning tastes. Muthafunkaz kill it in their traditional style but for something unique and super cool check out ATFC's Lectrotek Vocal. » AR

6 12
Copyright f. Imaani Wizeman Defected

More deep and brooding sickness from Copyright. This time the lush vocals of Imaani drip like honey over the rich and grooving instrumental. Check out the Peaktime mixes for a little more aggressive workout... top notch deep house for sure. » AR

7 14
King Unique Hinode (Fergie Remix) Curfew

Wow. Not that KU needed any help making a track huge, but where the f**k did Fergie come from with this sound! For those of you that wanna piss on the brutal hard-house crap that used to churn out of this man, put aside the hate and get on board the tech-house Fergie train... like a DJ makeover. » SJ

8 15
Funkerman Speed Up Defected

BOOM! Another anthem from Defected. Partner in crime with Fedde le Grand, Funkerman is making his own name stand out as of late. This one is sexy, tempermental, and ready to rip your dancefloor, so hurry up and get on it! » AR

9 13
Don Diablo & Grand Jackson Streets of Fire Sellout Sessions

We are not sure if it's just because we liked the movie of the same name, or if it's because this track’s Hystereo/Justice/French-Funk feel... but we do love this one! Smack the speaker all you like with this number! » SJ

10 16
DJ Wady & Patrick M Hulk Cr2

This wibbly-wonky (almost switchy) tech-house number combines that synth-popping style that the world has grown to love of late with a twisty and prominent bassline perfect for hiding out underneath everything, willingly holding down the fort. Solid number. » SJ

11 17
Paco Buggin vs. Zhio Opions Iberican

Paco Buggin, are very quickly running up the list on my favourite producers as the moment. Their tracks are lush and basstastic, all at the same time. This track is no exception. With the help of Zhio they create something fantastic. Turn to the Dario Nunez cut if you want that slick late night goodness! » SJ

12 21
Maal Nobody’s Sayin Phonetic

Pretty hot track, nice vocal...but its Daley Padely’s afterhours mix that brings out its dark and sexy style. Like a woman who finally finds her style and flare, Padley brings a feel all his own to it, making it something to look out for, much like his career...on the rise. » SJ

13 22
We Deliver f. Erire Supernatural Nocturnal Groove

Sensational! Whether its the gorgeous original or the techier Shapeshifters remix this one is primed for peak time. Great vocals from Erire and a hook that gets instantly looped in your brain. » AR

14 26
Nicole Moudaber vs Mel & Kim Get Fresh (Mark Trophy Knees Up Remix) Nocturnal Groove

This one is a bumper, kind of throws you off at the start, almost makes you
think you are about to go on another switchy-electro ride; but no... it comes
correct! Sickness... proper bump, proper groove; simply proper remix. » SJ

15 28
Alex Cappelli Bloody Notes Great Stuff

This ‘popping’ popcorn-esque tech-house tank, will oddly enough, be too infectious for your dancefloor to pass up; something st-arange about being strange; is that everybody usually likes it! » SJ

16 25
Tom de Neef & Laidback Luke Humanoidz (Arno Cost & Norman Doray Remix) Jack Squad

Arno Cost & Norman Doray kill it here with a big room working of this techy bumper. Yes the keys are a little trancey, but the overall vibe retains that house feel with slick percussion. » AR

17 30
Eyereel Allstars f. Lucy Clarke Get It On (Fish n Chips Mix) Red Stick Recordings

Hands in the air, the disco is alive. For those who love the feel good tunes of Hed Kandi and Defected you will love this smiles-all-around tune. Simply feel good disco house from the Strictly Rhythm affiliate imprint. » AR

18 29
DJ Joe K Nu Life Building Records

Someone has been doing their homework. Someone, has developed a very conscise style, that seems almost too perfect, but alas the track works. Consider it a moody and melodic tech number that delivers the late night bumps when needed. That someone incidently is DJ Joe K. » SJ

19 32
Itamar Sagi Black Gold Be As One

This late night tech-house ditty, brings a little synth-love along with its high hats and shakers! The groove and melody, although not overwhelming, are more then enough to take you along for the ride. Get with it! » SJ

20 34
Jaimy Feel the Funk Fatal Music

Don’t know what it is about this one, but its a little dark, has a nasty shake to it, and for some reason... the chez vocal really reminds of those ol’ lights out days with monsieur Lawler! In essence, this track will creep all over you! » SJ

21 33
Indo Phunqe Beta Bug Aciitone Red

This full on textural-landscape of a track, flirts between dance-floor friendly and techno head, and in the end ultimately doesn’t truly decide which one it is; for the heads or the feetz? Worth the listen, so you might as well decide for yourself. » SJ

22 36
Lars Schneemann Name & Number (Kid Chris Mix) Bug Eyed

Although keeping to its tech-house beginnings, this track flirts hard with some trance sensibilities! The ebb and flow of this one however is a smooth melodic trip that is a well seasoned traveller looking for some people to share on the adventure. » SJ

23 38
Samim The Lick Get Physical

Now that he’s got your attention... it's clear Heater was just the beginning on what will be an assault on your low end techno loving ears... no point in getting into details... this tune bumps! Yes... bumps! » SJ

24 35
Nils Nuernberg Move It Up 1Trax

From MN2S' darker imprint 1Trax comes this little deep house bumper from Nils Nuernberg. Very San Francisc-esque vibe and the crisp hi hats and head bobbing kicks make it work. » AR

25 39
Paolo Jackson f. Shena Funkt Sheer Dance

Every version of this track is all over your face, one night stand, glitchy tech house, no ifs ands or buts. If you love that style, buy this record! Opt for the Schossow Remix if you want the heaviest!!! » SJ

26 37
Marco Bailey & Tom Hades Exorcism MB Electronics

This is just one of those tracks... those, ‘I could have done that’, ‘that melody is so easy’ kind of tracks... but you didn’t... they did... and it rocks... I smell festivals all over the world cuing this one up! » SJ

27 41
Allstars Thriller Heaven Recordings

Ya know we are such suckers for a good Michael Jackson remix. Although this one verges on older Swedish House Mafia style, we still can't deny its good natured chugging dance floor capability; so... here ya go, just one more Thriller remix worth adding to your library. » SJ

28 40
Matador Satires Aciitone Green

This one is a purely dysfunctional number that will have you tech-twitching...but be sure to rip the Lutzenkirchen version to truly get evil! This one will have your holy water smoking in seconds! » SJ

29 43
Goodwill & Tommy Trash Its a Swede Thing Cr2

Just one of those stand up and like it tunes! Possessing great dance floor sensibility and enough tech-to keep even the trendiest party people on the floor, this one is meant for the clubs. » SJ

30 42
Booka Shade Charlotte Get Physical

Well, when the Booka get busy they get deep. This one is no exception. Dark and brooding, with all of that low end goodness you have grown to love, and the techno elements that make you writhe, jump and shout. Add a man of the moment remix from Dubfire, and what ya get is a sick-ass techno release. » SJ

31 44
Muzikjunki Music Digi

This little bad boy, hidden in the middle of the EP, holds the essence of the junk in the trunk, funky style of Muzikjunki. The ebb and flow of this track has a ‘Rene-Amesz’ quality stamped all over it. » SJ

32 46
Paco Buggin & Joy Marquez Is Stereo Stereo

Consider it a new take on the massive ‘ In Stereo’ track of the same label some time ago, this new take, ‘Is Stereo’ is a proper rendition crafted by the upstart Paco Buggin, whose name seems to be ringing off just about everything these days. » SJ

33 45
Oliver Klein & Peter Juergens Scoville Kling Klong

At this point we are just about willing to play anything that has the Kling Klong imprint on it. The techno/tech-house has been churning out nasty, bumpin cutz for some time now, and we figure its about time you all took heed. This is no exception... go Klein, go Juergens (you may remember from Mutekki fame). » SJ

34 47
Veros & Vench Roll It (The Bulgarian Mix) PBR

Glitched out tech-funk from those fine lads at PBR. For fans of the sound some say Micky Slim pioneered this is for you. Dirt, grime and nastiness for your dancefloor. » AR

35 49
Jayvee & Piwi Reggae Culture (Scheurmann Remix) Affin

This is the true embodiment of late night SEXY techno. Brooding, melodic and yet still somewhat seductive. Bring on the darkness, let these drums roll. » SJ

36 48
Pulse The Lover That You Are Jellybean Soul

Straight up no-nonsense vocal house with an old school flare. We've been seeing a lot of old school disco vibes of late and this one hits right there. A Jellybean Benitez classic from 1995, Marlon D & George Mena update it to a more current sound while maintaining the heart and soul of the original. » AR

37 50
Ivan-I & Jason Howell Funky Moves Tarantic

Deep and chunky house yet again from Tarantic. This little gem comes complete with a fine set of remixes to suit a variety of deeper tastes. For me either the smooth keys on the JasWho? Remix or the tougher Amit Shoham mix take the prize. » AR

38 --
Spoon, Harris & Obernik Baditude Toolroom

BOOM! Anthem alert! Dave Spoon teams up with Paul Harris and the vocal stylings of Sam Obernik for a monster of a tune in Baditude. Toolroom has been putting out a lot of biggies of late, but this one certainly is the biggest and baddest. Ibiza get ready for some 'tude baby! » AR

39 --
Lil Mo Ying Yang Reach Strictly Rhythm

What!!!! If you don’t know this track, stop djing... go buy it... smile, restart your career! A welcome addition to any record bag, whatever you play!!!! CLASSIC! » SJ

40 --
King Unique Sugarhigh Curfew

Could be the greatest King Unique production ever, or simply one of the most poignant pieces of what would become tech-house which emerged in the early part of the 2000/2001. Whatever way you slice it...it is back, remastered, and ready to do the damage that your ‘bunged’ up vinyl pressing never got to do! » SJ

41 --
Kate Lawler Screw You Leaders of the New School

Something about Kate screams goodness, and not because her last name is Lawler...i do believe this is her first romp into productions, and she has indeed come out in fine form. Think super nasty late night bumps! » SJ

42 --
Chris Kessler Sunlight Bralli

One of those slinky and smooth tech-trips that bounces around and around, good textures and soothing drums get that tech-oozing the sex all over your dex. » SJ

43 --
JCA p. Solaphonics Total Love (Raul Rincon Rootz Remix) Milk and Sugar

Queue the funky piano... check. Queue the diva vocals... check. Queue the funkiness... check. Another slice of funky soulful feel-good house music from the fine Germans at Milk and Sugar. Raul Rincon steps it up on the remix for best effect. » AR

44 --
Kimara Lovelace These Times King Street Sounds

Slick, sexy and soulful house music from King Street yet again. The rich texture of Kimara's voice is complimentd wonderfully by a moody key driven instrumental.Get ready vocal heads, it's a slice of awesomeness. » AR

45 --
Jack Wired Anomalous Wave Pure Trax

This is a straight up rider...giving the bass a nice galloping feel that rocks all the way home! The tech-synths sound so familiar, that you would swear you already heard them! » SJ

46 --
Steve Mac & Paul Harris You (Tom Novy Remix) Toolroom Trax

Steve Mac & Paul Harris certainly no stangers to these charts... they have that knack for producing quality house music and their latest on Toolroom is no exception. Throw is a killer remix with sweet keys and a little funk from Tom Novy and you have a burner for the dancefloor. » AR

47 --
Roger Martinez Beyond Chumbomundo

From Tom Stephan's Chumbomundo imprint comes an EP with some delectable dirty beats. The biggest and baddest is Roger Martinez's Beyond with it's tech-house sensibility and electro flare it's poised to torch some dancefloors. » AR

48 --
Jean Claude Ades A Musica Swings Records

Gaining steam from his last serious of releases, Ades is set to go stellar with this bunch! Like a fusion of proper bumping tech-house elements mixed with the epic progressive sounds he is noted for! » SJ

49 --
Jeff Bennett Bone Back Kung Fu Dub

Not much more can be said about Jeff Bennett that this track doesn't already explain. He's sick, he's nasty, and he's got oddles of techno goodness living inside his system! » SJ

50 --
Danism & Haze Strike MN2S

Danism team up with Haze for another deep, moody winner on MN2S. Blippy keys, 90s acid house style beats and a definitely groove will get the heads bobbing. » AR

::: The Shapeshifters Interview
The Shapeshifters are London DJ and production duo Simon Marlin and Max Reich, also behind long running club night Nocturnal at AKA, London, the party hang of Nocturnal Groove – the boys’ and Lola Marlin’s record label. Party people at heart, the pair met when Simon signed Max to the Down Boy record label that he was working for. Musically, Simon found his enthusiasm for house on the dancefloor in the late 80’s and early 90’s, while Max got into production via a passion for techno honed whilst throwing illegal raves in his native city of Gothenburg...
