2007.07.10 Andrew Reid, Scott Ramsay, Simon Jain For the past 10 years Nocturnal has made the trip to the sunny southern tip of America, South Beach Miami for the annual Winter Music Conference. Over the years the conference has grown from a once intimate gathering of the heads and tastemakers to North America's version of Ibiza all compressed into a six day period! While some complain of the change from a business and industry led event to a full out party-fest, the WMC is still the place to get access to the biggest names in electronic music all in one place all at the same time. Further to that the conference delivers many of the forthcoming summer's biggest tunes and allows for us on this side of the pond to experience the massive events and dreamy selection of DJ talent that many Europeans take their access to for granted. For 2007 Nocturnal had a whirlwind trip hitting an unprecedented 22 events in 6 days!!! We shook it with Toolroom, Cr2, Subliminal, Pacha, MN2S, Om, Mnus, Wet Grooves, Blow Media, Burridge Barrage, Juicy Beach, Little Mountain, the BBC Radio 1 Pool Party, and many more and will bring you over 1000 photos from an absolutely action packed WMC 2007! 	2007.03.20 Every year at WMC something really special transpires. It's the brainchild of the wildest and wackiest Brit DJ Lee Burridge and now in its third successive year, it is a WMC kickoff institution not to be missed! 2007.03.21 Every year, Wet Grooves is one of the most essential WMC events to hit South Beach. With a reputation for a crazy crowd, wicked DJs, and equally wicked women, it is the pinacle of what a Miami music confernce party is all about. 2007.03.21 Just like Scion, Tommy Boy threw an invite only, exclusive VIP event at the luxurious Hotel Victor in celebration of French house music icon Bob Sinclar's huge success with his album Western Dream. 2007.03.21 Next stop on this whrilwind evening was for a very anticipated label party for Cr2. This UK imprint is at the forefront of cutting edge tunes and sets the benchmark for what is cool in house music. 2007.03.21 I once received a text from a fellow music enthusiast that read, 'dude, been on the bus for 13 hrs, and I don't care that I missed my stop'. Be it as perplexing as it is, it warrants me saying that I do indeed have some interestingly unique and weird friends... birds off a feather right? In any case, the text in question is referring to a much talked about venue in downtown Miami known only as Pawnshop... ::: Photos + Review	2007.03.21 Finally after 1, 2, 3, 4... 14 hours of events at 5am we reached our final destination of the night, the notorious Club Space for Mr. Erick Morillo's annual Subliminal Sessions megaparty. Perhaps one of the most lauded events of the conference, Robbie Rivera’s Juicy Music Beach Party touched down in Miami at the world famous Nikki Beach... ::: Photos + Review	05.31.2007 Over the years I have come to love Opium Garden in Miami. The decadent main outdoor area complete with tikki huts for the DJ booth and a posh palace court feel is the perfect venue to enjoy a night of solid house music during the warm south Florida nights. 05.31.2007 After another wild and crazy night full of incredible ups and downs and some great surprises we hit our final destination for the night, our WMC 2006 event of the year winners Om. This year, those San Fran bad boys had an absolutely HUGE line up with the likes of Mark Farina, DJ Sneak, Colette, DJ Heather, Andy Caldwell, Chuck Love and also took it eclectic with Bassnectar, Bugz in the Attic, Mr C, Mike Monday, Landshark and countless others... all spread out over 5 rooms at the brand new $25 million Y Ultralounge in downtown Miami... ::: Photos + Review	2007.06.29 One of the most recognizable names in the business, Pete Tong & the BBC rolled into the Surfcomber for a full-day of beats. 2007.06.29 Gabriel & Dresden and their Organized Nature brand combined with Made Event for a exclusive 7 hour set at the now infamous Pawn Shop. Manning the transport truck DJ booth, the boys layed down a pulsating set full of their huge anthems both original constructs and slamming reworks... ::: Photos + Review	2007.06.29 First on deck was Seb Fontaine's notorius Type party, this year being held at Shine in the Shelbourne Hotel. 2007.06.29 Topping off our Saturday night was the always eclectic, always cool, and always crazy Lee Burridge and the third annual installment of the Burridge Barrage. This year, Lee returned to the site of the 2006 edition BED and took control of the night from start to finish... ::: Photos + Review	2007.07.10 We've finally reached the last day of events for the 2007 campaign and after 20+ shows you'd think it'd be all but over, but there certainly was 2 must see shows to wind this whole debacle up. The annual Sunday School event by Made has become a staple of the conference, and with a lineup of the who's who of minimal techno on the bill, this was a certainty... ::: Photos + Review

2007.07.10 The last day of the conference is here and what better way could you find to end it then with Sander K and crew. Boasting an incredible line-up of up & comers, such as Trent Catrelle and Rene Amesz, this was one of the events to beat. Situated in the back of the Shelbourne Hotel, Shine is one of the best small rooms in Miami... ::: Photos + Review

Holland’s beloved house music-loving homeboy, Laidback Luke, is on an international mission to rock clubs, win hearts and top charts. A producer and DJ with immense talent, tonnes of spirit and a steely determination to succeed, he has been on a worldwide search for the ultimate in dance floor energy since the mid-1990s. “Music is an amazing tool that can evoke powerful memories and emotions,” says Luke with a smile. “And I will not rest until I’ve given my best: I want to share as much music as possible with as many people as possible.” And with an incredibly impressive discography of 100+ recordings and a DJ diary that takes him from his studio near Amsterdam to clubs all over the world, it would seem that Luke is well on the way to achieve his goals...

Seamus Haji is a lucky guy. With over 20 years experience in the business he looks great, he has his own record label, enjoys being able to travel around the world doing international DJ dates. He is also the guy credited for pioneering the now universally acknowledged ‘electro house’ sound with ‘Last Night a DJ Saved My Life’, as sound that totally rejuvenated house. It was also Seamus who was behind the chart success of Booty Luv, remixing their unforgettable pop smash ‘Boogie Tonight’ a track so big that that no one in dance music could hide from it!. Here Seamus gives his personal insight into the world of Dance music...
