 ::: Ben Watt Interview Ben Watt is still best-known as half of the duo Everything but the Girl, which first performed together in 1982. That year, EBTG's Tracey Thorn released her solo debut, A Distant Shore, while Watt released his, North Marine Drive, the following year. Watt's LP went to number one on the U.K. indie charts and included a cover of Bob Dylan's "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go." Everything but the Girl's early material was lite-jazz, but their major international breakthrough came in the dance music genre with Todd Terry's 1995 remix of the song "Missing," which originally appeared on the album Amplified Heart... ::: Read the Interview |

Canadians have always had an affinity for the WMC, and it seems as the years progress our numbers continue to climb exponentially. So why not have a party to tell the world how we feel? Well who do you book... none other than a line-up of solid Canuck spinners and a few foreign imports that love our great land. Teaming up with Desyn Masiello, Demi, Omid 16B and the crew from Sex on Wax, the likes of DJ Sneak, Hatiras, Luke Fair, Max Graham, Nick Holder, 16 Bit Lolitas, Fred Everything, Jason Hodges, Sultan, Jimmy Van M, and more graced the decks poolside and in the Shine lounge for the all day affair. Blessed with sunny skies and warm tropical air, the event set us on our way for a bevvy of daytime warm-ups for some seriously hot nights.
