After a day at Ultra, you truly feel exhausted. You could swear to yourself that there is nothing that could make you go out right? Ha. The minute we left the Hotel in search of our night destination we were already feeling the excitement. Lee Burridge has quickly become one of our absolute favourites, and the thought of him championing the decks for a full evening at one of the more intimate and suave establishments in South Beach is almost more then we can bare. BED, truly a name that aptly describes itself, is a posh little club in the heart of South Beach which as you likely guessed, is adorned with oversized beds throughout the club. The club is at full swing when we arrive and we are escorted in without incident (not a normality in South Beach, so much thanks to our media host Betty Kang @ Plexi PR). The vibe is smoking and the people are... well, raging. We expected the music to be this sexy and brooding, but the crowd has thrown us for a loop. A combination of uber-screwed go-all-night types mixed with people looking to get away from just that. So it was an odd endeavour indeed, but with the solid crew around us as well as a handful of amazing industry peeps we met there; the night was every bit as incredible as we had hoped. A small handful of us had managed to dance all night and were on hand to close the club with Lee himself. His set was a textured journey through a tech landscape, slightly littered with sensual vocals laid over perky ditties. His sound is so very much his own and it is a wonder to us that he is not much bigger. We were unsure of what the last track was that he played, but for sure... THE sickest tune we heard all conference. We must remember to ask him, it was too sick to not share it with all of you. We head back to the hotel, walking our way slowly and effortlessly through the streets. The warmth has subsided and there is a slight chill in the air. For a brief second we think of Toronto, and as we make our way to bed; we can imagine what it would be like to drop the tune we just heard inside one of our very own clubs. We must remember to ask Lee about it. Two days in, and the trip has already been well worth it.
::: Bob Sinclar Interview
House Master is a title which many can claim but few can justify. Bob Sinclar, the unashamedly hedonistic alter-ego of Chris Le Friant, has become a worldwide phenomenon since his creation in 1997. With uplifting music that has a clear focus on unity and enjoyment, he has produced some of the most popular and memorable dance tracks of the last decade. In this respect, Bob Sinclar has definitively set himself aside from his peers. Now, 20 of his finest club productions and remixes are available unmixed across 2 CD’s, giving you another chance to enjoy the infectious passion of house music as only Bob can provide... ::: Read the Interview
